Some Information About Us

Boy Scout Troop 927, located in Westchester, California, currently has 76 scouts, divided into 7 patrols, and a Venture unit. Our troop is devoted to helping the community by participating in numerous service projects; some of which include food drives, event organization, and flag ceremonies.

Troop 927 is heavily involved in outdoor activities. As one of our main focuses, rock climbing trips are taken to Joshua Tree National Park, Stoney Point, and others. Every year we plan and carry out a week-long backpacking trip, our last one taking place in John Muir Wilderness where we trekked to the top of Hell For Sure Pass from the Courtright Reservoir. Past locations have been the Ray Lakes Loop, and the Dinky Lakes Wilderness. Every year we attend a Boy Scout summer camp, the last one being Forest Lawn Scout Reservation near Lake Arrowhead, also known as Circle X Ranch. Our other activities include numerous camping trips, hikes, smaller backpacking trips, and more.

In addition to fun outdoor activities, advancment and obtaining the rank of Eagle is an important focus of our troop. Just in the last 5 years the troop has produced 17 Eagle Scouts.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Have a good day.
